My friend a resident of Riyadh and I have noticed that in recent days the traffic problems have intensified in this city.
ReplyDeleteThe traffic jams of Riyadh are causing many serious problems such as difficulties in carrying patients to hospitals and reaching schools, offices and airports on time.
In my view, the two biggest problems causing traffic jams are absence of public transport systems like the ones in Dubai buses services and metro trains and low fuel price that encourages people to buy gas-guzzling vehicles. And because of the cheap fuel, there is no concept of pooling and sharing vehicles as well. I hope the authorities would take necessary measures to deal with this serious issue.

I am going to talk about traffic in Riyadh and write some solutions.
ReplyDeleteA first cause I think is because drive fast and some drivers don't carefully when he drive and we see some people play in has phone and don't look the way so they do accident so they have a traffic but I think the biggest problem is many people live in Riyadh I think population in Riyadh more than seven million person so it sure be crowded but in my opinion if the government build tunnels or build a new roads and be it very wide of course it will take more money but that's good ideas or buy some metro and put for it station that's will less then traffic that's some problems and solutions it

Riyadh is witnessing urban and organizational development. The road network has been built very large and organized. Bridges and tunnels have been built. Despite massive efforts, projects and wide streets, overcrowding became troublesome, but the Riyadh Development Authority worked without the help of other stakeholders. Congestion will not disappear, and in my opinion, one of the main reasons for overcrowding is the large number of excavations in the main and secondary streets and lack of speed of completion

Traffic in Riyadh
ReplyDeleteThe traffic jam in Riyadh is a big problem. This makes people late for their work and it also makes noise.
The first problem in Riyadh is that it has many cars. The solution for this problem is that the government makes buss for carrying people to work. Another solution for this problem is to build many roads as possible.
The second problem in Riyadh is that the big cars stay in one lane with small cars. The solution for this problem is to make specific time for big cars only. Another solution for this problem is to make bridges for small cars.
The third problem is that there are many unskilled drivers how slow down the movement of cars. The solution of this kind of problems is to make the driving license exams harder.

In Riyadh is more common to see congestion in high way. Riyadh is crowded city. a lot of people think it is important that traffic jams need to find solution , to people feel free and easy access.
ReplyDeleteAs we know many places in Riyadh is far from each other . People always use they cars to arrive locale. However , the petrol will be end. a lso ambulance if has emergencies how can through hundred of cars. The government must find solution.
Building bridges in the downtown or public places that can helps reduce congestion . Tourists is enjoy when saw like that it men government takes into account the situation. Another solution don't allow cars to inter city center and people walk between street . Environment become polluted by us when we use car. If we use electric car the air changing to natural. We can find a lot of solution ,but people need to accepted and live with it . Many countries share problems with others.

ReplyDeleteTraffic Problems Essay
Traffic congestion in many cities around the world is severe. One possible solution to this problem is to impose heavy taxes on car drivers and use this money to make public transport better. This essay will discuss the benefits and drawbacks of such a measure.
One of the first benefits of such a measure is that the heavy taxes would discourage car owners from using their cars because it would become very expensive to drive. This would mean that they would begin to make use of public transport instead, thus reducing traffic problems and pollution as well. Another benefit would be that much more use would be made of public transport if it was improved. It is often the case that public transport in cities is very poor. For example, we often see old buses and trains that people would rather not use. High taxes would generate enough money to make the necessary changes.
Nevertheless, there are drawbacks to such a solution. First and foremost, this would be a heavy burden on the car drivers. At present, taxes are already high for a lot of people, and so further taxes would only mean less money at the end of the month for most people who may have no choice but to drive every day. In addition, this type of tax would likely be set at a fixed amount. This would mean that it would hit those with less money harder, whilst the rich could likely afford it. It is therefore not a fair tax.
To conclude, this solution is worth considering to improve the current situation, but there are advantages and disadvantages of introducing such a policy.

Air pollution exposure has been shown to be associated with an increased risk of specific cancers. This study investigated whether the number and incidence of the most common cancers in Saudi Arabia were associated with urban air pollution exposure, specifically NO2. Overall, high model goodness of fit (GOF) was observed in the Eastern, Riyadh and Makkah regions. The significant coefficients of determination (r2) were higher at the regional level (r2 = 0.32–0.71), weaker at the governorate level (r2 = 0.03–0.43), and declined slightly at the city level (r2 = 0.17–0.33), suggesting that an increased aggregated spatial level increased the explained variability and the model GOF. However, the low GOF at the lowest spatial level suggests that additional variation remains unexplained. At different spatial levels, associations between NO2 concentration and the most common cancers were marginally improved in geographically weighted regression (GWR) analysis, which explained both global and local heterogeneity and variations in cancer incidence. High coefficients of determination were observed between NO2 concentration and lung and breast cancer incidences, followed by prostate, bladder, cervical and ovarian cancers, confirming results from other studies. These results could be improved using individual explanatory variables such as environmental, demographic, behavioral, socio-economic, and genetic risk factors.

Traffic in Riyadh.
ReplyDeleteRiyadh: Congestion at various traffic junctions and squares in Riyadh has increased tremendously, even after spending millions of riyals on new underpasses and overpasses.
The municipality, however, has promised that the problem of congestion will end by 2030 with the completion of new infrastructural projects.
Observers say the problem of congestion basically relates to the engineering designs that were executed in projects, which did not resolve the congestion issue.
The design in circular openings and exits from bridges or underpasses leading to traffic lights have failed to clear traffic snarls. Instead, they led to further congestion and bottlenecks on the main traffic ways. Observers says these are simple engineering design faults, which should have been avoided.
“The highways and roads have a limited capacity irrespective of changes and amendments made because of the constant growth of traffic, population and economic activities,” said Jamal Abdul Aal, professor of urban and regional design at the College of Environmental Design at King Abdul Aziz University (KAU).
Historically, traffic grows by 3.5 percent to 4 percent annually in a city. With population and economic development keeping pace, the pressure on the traffic system has been tremendous. Up until now the road network is not stable and has been witnessing changes or amendments in lanes and roads, which put pressure on vehicle users because they need to constantly find easier ways to get to their destinations.
Abdulal said residents and citizens should be able to use public transport instead of their own or private transport, which will lessen traffic congestion.
Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Ghamidi, Jeddah undersecretary for projects, said there are more than 70 locations with electronic counters that monitor the number of cars using roads. This gives us information about the number of cars and their makes.
He said the municipality will implement a plan for Jeddah that will ease traffic congestion by 2030. Work for this will focus on main roads and moving traffic from one side of the city to the other and in all directions. Current congestion problems are temporary because of the implementation of some projects on Al-Haramain and other major roads, he added.
