  1. Despite being subject to a number of socio-cultural restrictions, Saudi women, just like Saudi men, are allowed to marry foreigners.

However, even that experience is not free from hurdles.

As per recent stats released by the gulf kingdom’s Ministry of Justice, the number of marriage contracts of Saudi men to non-Saudi women last year reached 3,596, while marital unions between Saudi women to non-Saudi males reached 3,352.

And while the numbers for this trend are constantly on the rise, due to more exposure to foreign cultures, both genders face tough regulations. But it’s slightly more difficult for Saudi women.

Under Saudi Arabia’s rules, a Saudi man has to be at least 30 years old to marry a foreign national. In 2014, the Saudi government placed additional restrictions, prohibiting Saudi men from marrying expatriate women from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Chad and Myanmar.

The minimum age for a Saudi woman to marry a non-Saudi is 25 years old. And while there aren’t specific non-Saudi nationalities they have been ordered not to marry, like in the case of Saudi men, there are other problems that follow when the kingdom’s women decide to settle down with a foreigner.

  2. I would like to share a new perspective on priesthood: that of a Mormon Feminist Transhumanist. Although some may criticize me and my minority position in our vulnerability, I feel it is important to offer this perspective with authenticity and honesty.

As context, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the largest Mormon denomination), priesthood is the power and authority of God given to man, including the authority to perform ordinances and to lead the Church. Presently, ordination and full access to priesthood is reserved for men only. Although women may participate in limited ways, men preside over all women’s positions and auxiliaries, and women are excluded from presiding in Church governance.

In this post, I will first illustrate the harmful effects of excluding women from full participation in the priesthood though a personal narrative. I will then comment on desires, benefits, and risks that would accompany the ordination of women.

    A Father’s Blessing

It’s a Mormon tradition for the father of the household to give each child a priesthood blessing before the beginning of each school year. They are often referred to as "father’s blessings". It’s a lovely tradition. I remember, as a young girl, taking turns with each of my sisters, sitting in a chair, while my father laid his hands on our heads and blessed each of us. They are happy memories.

However, when I was 14 my father was excommunicated from the Church on Easter Sunday. He was cut off from the Mormon community as a form of discipline and was deemed unworthy to exercise the priesthood. My father was the only male in our home. This left my mother, two sisters, and me to fend for ourselves in matters of the priesthood.

The following school year I would not have a father’s blessing. Of course, the typical response to this particular predicament is to call the home teachers or bishop to come provide access to a priesthood blessing.

If only it were so simple.

The reality is if I were to ask my home teachers to come to our home to give me a priesthood blessing, my father would have the humiliating experience of sitting by and watching another man preside in his home and bless his daughter. My mother would have the humiliating experience of watching another man come into her home and bless her daughter because she was deemed an unfit candidate for the priesthood due to the fact she was female. As for me, I was a teenage girl going through puberty, starting my period, experiencing other bodily changes, and what I really needed was a priesthood blessing from my parent, not from a couple of well-meaning men from my ward whom I had hardly spoken a word to.

No priesthood blessing was worth the humiliation it would cause my family, so I concluded it was better to go without.

I cried in bed the night before school started. I fervently prayed to Heavenly Father with genuine intent asking Him to bless me with His Priesthood. I waited quietly and patiently for a response, but felt nothing. I was alone.

After I finished crying, I fell asleep that night feeling like a silly girl with shattered dreams in a fraudulent illusion. I suppose we all have to grow up someday.

  3. As for economic effects, research suggests that migration is beneficial both to the receiving and sending countries. Research, with few exceptions, finds that immigration on average has positive economic effects on the native population, but is mixed as to whether low-skilled immigration adversely affects low-skilled natives. Studies show that the elimination of barriers to migration would have profound effects on world GDP, with estimates of gains ranging between 67 and 147 percent. Development economists argue that reducing barriers to labor mobility between developing countries and developed countries would be one of the most efficient tools of poverty reduction.

The academic literature provides mixed findings for the relationship between immigration and crime worldwide, but finds for the United States that immigration either has no impact on the crime rate or that it reduces the crime rate. Research shows that country of origin matters for speed and depth of immigrant assimilation, but that there is considerable assimilation overall for both first- and second-generation immigrants.

  4. I will talk Immigration to the US.

Immigrating to the United States is an important and complex decision. In this section, you will learn about who may immigrate to the United States, the different types of immigrant visas, the required forms, and the steps in the immigrant visa process. Because most immigrants receive visas in the family or employment based visa categories, they are a key focus of this section. To be eligible to apply for an immigrant visa, a foreign citizen must be sponsored by a U.S. citizen relative, U.S. lawful permanent resident, or a prospective employer, with a few exceptions, explained below. The sponsor begins the immigration process by filing a petition on the foreign citizen’s behalf with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

  5. Many people argue that the immigrants are usually skilled labor and they help increase the local production of the United States. Others also argue that when the businesses pay them lower than minimum wage, their costs go down, which means that the costs of production as well as the prices goes down, and these help the citizens of the United States. It is also argued that the immigrants tend to send their US dollars outside America to their families, and this strengthens the value of the dollar, making it more valuable, thereby making the economy of US stronger.

  6. Immigration to the United States is the international movement of individuals who are not natives or do not possess citizenship in order to settle, reside, study or to take-up employment in the United States. It has been a major source of population growth and cultural change throughout much of the history of the United States. The economic, social, and political aspects of immigration have caused controversy regarding ethnicity, economic benefits, jobs for non-immigrants, settlement patterns, impact on upward social mobility, crime, and voting behavior.

  7. Marrying a non- Saudi woman

Some people say no problem when they marry outside the country In order to educate or learn his civilization other than his civilization or it is possible to learn a language other than his language ،On the other hand it is possible to have a religion other than religion so it is difficult to get used to men.

In my opinion I disagree with them, because it can get problems when the dissatisfaction of either party.

  11. An essay about the arguments for and against a vegetarian diet.

In this modern age, the trend of being a vegetarian is gradually increasing. This is not because people cannot afford the money on buying meat and seafood, but their certain beliefs in doing so. In this essay, I will discuss both sides of the issue and state what I think personally.
Firstly, some people believe that a vegetarian diet is healthier than a meat-eating diet because we are always warned to reduce our fat intake and the vegetarian diet contains little fat. In addition, it has been proved that by having a vegetarian diet, we can reduce our risk of dying of cancer, heart problems, and other systems of the body. Secondly, some think raising animals in factory farm conditions can be cruel. In order to be ready to be served as a meal, the animals have to go through a variety of steps which some are actually horrifying. Not only do they get killed but they suffer a lot in the preceding stages. Finally, as it is commonly known, vegetables are cheaper than meat throughout the whole world. This would be an attractive factor to trigger non-vegetarians who may want to spend less on eating to become vegetarians.
However, research has shown that the nutrition we get from vegetables is not enough for a normal person’s body system. For example, the sufficient protein necessary for our body functioning every day cannot be gained if we only eat vegetables. Consequently, unbalanced diet can lead us to muscular issues and even neurological problems. Furthermore, if the majority of people living on Earth only eat vegetables, it can cause huge impact on meat vendors as they will soon be jobless and farmers will earn less according to such situation.
To sum up, in my opinion, I think both sides of the problem has its supporting ideas and factors, and it is in our own freewill as to decide whether we are in favour of eating a vegetarian diet or not.

The economic, social, and political aspects of immigration have caused controversy regarding ethnicity, economic benefits, jobs for non-immigrants, settlement patterns, impact on upward social mobility, crime, and voting behavior.
Prior to 1965, policies such as the national origins formula limited immigration and naturalization opportunities for people from areas outside Western Europe. Exclusion laws enacted as early as the 1880s generally prohibited or severely restricted immigration from Asia, and quota laws enacted in the 1920s curtailed Eastern European immigration. The Civil Rights Movement led to the replacement[1]of these ethnic quotas with per-country limits.[2]Since then, the number of first-generation immigrants living in the United States has quadrupled.[3][4]
As for economic effects, research suggests that immigration to the United States is beneficial to the US economy. Research finds that immigration either has no impact on the crime rate or that it reduces the crime rate in the United States. Research shows that the United States excels at assimilating first- and second-generation immigrants relative to many other Western countries.
